Job summary

SAIC's Controller Training Solutions (CTS) team in Birmingham, AL seeks a part-time Air Traffic Control Instructor-II to deliver classroom and simulation-based training to developmental controllers and CPCs.

Candidates must have at least five years FAA CPC experience at a facility with the Birmingham ATCT/TRACON level, be a US citizen, and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance. Teaching and curriculum development opportunities may be available.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• The CTS Instructor candidate must have a minimum of five (5) years of FAA CPC experience controlling live traffic or recent experience as a contract Instructor at an FAA facility.

Responsibilities

• Possible mentoring for students and Remote Pilot Operators (RPO).
• Deliver high-quality classroom and simulation laboratory training to a diverse group of students including developmental air traffic controllers and CPCs.
• May participate in curriculum design and development.
