Job summary

SWCA Environmental Consultants is seeking an Air Quality Project Manager to join our national Air Quality practice. The role is full‑time, salaried exempt, hybrid and/or remote eligible position based anywhere in the U.S., with opportunities to lead permitting, planning and modeling projects for power, oil & gas, and industrial sectors.

You will coordinate budgets and schedules, mentor staff, manage client relations, prepare emissions estimates, registrations and regulatory analyses, and ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or environmental science required.
• 7 years of consulting experience in air quality.
• Experience managing budgets, invoicing, schedules.
• Experience with regulatory authorities and regulations listed.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as project manager for air quality permitting, planning and modeling services nationwide.
• Manage budgets, schedules, staffing, client relations, and QA/QC.
• Provide technical resources for permit applications and compliance analyses.
• Prepare emission estimates under GHG programs.
• Prepare registrations for state agencies and submittals.
• Review air dispersion modeling per project guidelines.
• Ensure team safety and develop safety plans.
• Collaborate with SWCA practitioners across offices.
• Support growth and development of SWCA’s air quality services.
