Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Air Quality and Noise Department Manager to lead a dynamic team, drive business strategy, and deliver profitable growth. You will provide technical guidance, manage budgets, and present workload and financial reports to global or regional leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or related field with 7 years of related professional experience in design and/or project management.
• Leadership experience is highly preferred.
• Ability to leverage existing business relationships into future opportunities is highly preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; ability to present complex information to all levels of staff, management, and clients.
• Ability to influence, lead, and manage change thoughtfully and positively.
• Strong project management skills and strategic perspective.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the team; direct and coordinate work assignments and review performance to ensure efficient, cost-effective utilization of staff.
• Responsible for profitable growth of the department; ensure staffing and billable goals meet project requirements.
• Implement and support company programs and initiatives; manage change within the section.
• Provide expert level technical, design guidance and support.
• Achieve targets and standards for financial performance.
• Manage department budget and expenditures.
• Prepare and present workload and monthly financial reports to management and project managers.
• Recruit, develop, train and retain staff; conduct performance evaluations.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the department; interpret policies and goals to staff.
• Collaborate with BD managers, leads, PMs, and proposal staff on proposals to secure work.
• Oversee QA/QC adherence and ensure safety compliance.
• Diversity initiatives and other duties as assigned.
