Job summary

Tundra Technical Solutions seeks an Air Intake System Product Design and Release Engineer (Contract) in Auburn Hills, MI, onsite. You will design and validate air intake components for internal combustion engine and hybrid electrified vehicles.

Components include ducts, air cleaners, hoses, resonators, filters and brackets. The role requires coordinating CAD design, CAE, prototyping, and testing, while documenting activities, supporting sourcing, and tracking supplier milestones to meet design

Qualifications

• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to lead and manage suppliers.
• Must be able to manage multiple concurrent activities.
• Some domestic and international travel to US/Canada/Mexico.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating CAD design, CAE, prototyping, and physical testing, and documenting those activities.
• Support sourcing activities.
• Coordinate and track supplier progress to ensure part maturity and milestones.
• Provide onsite support at applicable engine/vehicle assembly plants.
• Support quality concerns, process change validation, and cost reduction after launch.
