General Motors is seeking a Design Release Engineer to lead a cross-functional team across Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Suppliers and Quality for ICE boosting and exhaust systems. You will drive design releases, DFMEA, validation, and production deployment with a strong emphasis on collaboration and timely delivery.

The role involves on-site presence at Warren Technical Center, Warren MI, with a hybrid schedule and 5–10% travel.

Competenze

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required; Mechanical preferred.
• 5+ years in internal combustion engine, powertrain, hardware testing, turbocharged-engine or Exhaust/EGR development.
• Experience with DFMEA, DVP&R, APQP/PPAP, engineering changes and production-launch readiness.
• Ability to collaborate with calibration, controls, emissions, manufacturing, thermal, NVH, validation and supplier teams.

Mansioni

• Lead communication with engineering departments and customers interfacing with the Boosting or Exhaust System.
• Release designs to meet program performance, timing, and budget requirements with best practices.
• Lead DFMEA and plan complex test and development programs.
• Demonstrate designs meet requirements through analysis, development and validation.
• Coordinate hardware budget for experimental builds and lead PDT meetings.
