DHL Global Forwarding in Philadelphia, PA is seeking an Air Import Specialist to coordinate customer air import shipments and serve as the main contact between customers and carriers. You will manage documentation, bookings with airlines, and ensure timely delivery.

You will handle filing for import compliance, invoice accuracy, and profile maintenance while communicating status updates to customers and overseas teams. Proficiency in MS Office and some CargoWise experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in the transportation, logistics, or freight forwarding industry; air import experience preferred but not required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Detail oriented and strong follow-up skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• CargoWise systems knowledge is a plus

Responsabilités

• Completes coordination between all applicable parties for all air import shipments for our customers; ensures timely bookings with airline on customer behalf
• Prepares import documentation in accordance with country requirements as well as the preparation of Arrival Notice, Cargo Manifest, Delivery Order, Carriers BOL and any other documents required by the customer
• Compliant filing of 1F or Inbond 7512 and arrivals for import customs ACE requirements
• Responsible for timely completion of import documents and coordinate with both customer and/or warehouse for timely delivery of cargo
• Communicates regularly with customer in regard to customer’s shipment status as well as continuous communication with overseas to meet delivery commitments; follow-up with airline to monitor and track departure and arrival information and updates
• Ensures invoicing of rendered services is completed accurately and, in a timeframe, consistent with company policy. This includes responsibility of file finances and profitability
• Ensure customer profiles are accurate and updated
• Meet all global KPI’s assigned

Air Import Specialist

Philadelphia, PA

As an Air Import Specialist, you will be responsible for the movement of our customer’s air import shipments. You will be the main point of contact for coordination between customer’s shipment imports and shipping carriers.

Pay Range

$32.21/hr. in accordance with the CBA
