Job summary

JobSquad is seeking an Air Imports Coordinator in Franklin, IL to manage international air freight imports from origin to final delivery. The role focuses on timely transport, customs compliance, documentation accuracy, and excellent customer service while coordinating with airlines, overseas agents, customs brokers, truckers and customers.

The position entails coordinating with brokers for customs clearance, tracking shipments, and handling billing and invoices.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or air import operations.
Knowledge of international air freight procedures and Incoterms.
Understanding of customs regulations and import documentation.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).

Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage air import shipments from arrival USA through final delivery.
Monitor shipment status and provide proactive updates to customers.
Arrange customs clearance with brokers and ensure compliance with import regulations.
Coordinate delivery with trucking companies and warehouses.
Track cargo arrival and resolve shipment delays or discrepancies.
Enter shipment information into transportation management systems (IES)
Verify and approve carrier, handling, and vendor invoices.
Prepare customer billing and shipment cost breakdowns.
Handle claims, damages, and service issues promptly.
