Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Air Import Brokerage.
• Strong knowledge of FDA, USDA, Fish & Wildlife, EPA and other relevant government agencies.
• Solid understanding of the U.S. Harmonized Tariff Schedule.
• Experience with Importer Security Filing (ISF) requirements.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage complex documentation processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Request, compile, and review import documentation such as customs invoices, CITES, and Fish & Wildlife documents.
• Classify goods per HTS and process entries related to Fish & Wildlife and FDA regulations.
• Ensure compliance with federal regulations and customs duties throughout import process.
• Monitor and manage completion and approval of freight paperwork before transport.
• Maintain detailed shipment files and ensure timely billing.
• Coordinate with Customs and other government agencies to secure timely releases.
• Audit files to verify all customs formalities are satisfied.
