Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in importation of goods.
• Knowledge of Government Agency requirements.
• Experience with air/ocean freight processes.
• Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access.

Responsibilities

• Handle shipments and ensure profitability.
• Establish task priorities, scheduling and tracking work assignments.
• Coordinate shipping details with origin agents.
• Track and trace shipments with airlines and carriers.
• Billing and invoicing in a timely manner.
• Negotiate pricing with carriers and agents.
• Provide instructions to carriers per shipping guidelines.
• Verify shipment weight and dimensions, and calculate rates.
• Communicate with customers, carriers and vendors.
• Open files in Cargowise and generate brokerage invoices.
