Job summary

AIT Worldwide Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Specialist Air Freight to handle order processing, shipment registration, and organize freight and customs tasks.

You will prepare offers, monitor deadlines, and manage billing, supporting customers and agents while maintaining documentation and workflows. The role requires experience in air freight forwarding, strong knowledge of customs, and fluency in German and English.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in air freight forwarding in an international environment.
• In-depth knowledge of customs procedures and air transport regulations.
• Proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently, with strong attention to detail and the capacity to manage priorities in a dynamic setting.
• Comfortable using freight forwarding software and the MS Office Suite.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Knowledge of CargoWise software would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Process orders and register shipments.
• Organize freight and customs handling including export control.
• Prepare and monitor offers and ensure timely delivery of bills and documentation.
• Process billing to customers and manage special orders and complaints.
• Support and advise customers and agents; monitor deadlines and performance statistics.
• Document workflows and assist supervisors on projects; handle filing and admin tasks.
