AIT Worldwide Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Specialist Air Freight to handle order processing, shipment registration, and organize freight and customs tasks.

You will prepare offers, monitor deadlines, and manage billing, supporting customers and agents while maintaining documentation and workflows. The role requires experience in air freight forwarding, strong knowledge of customs, and fluency in German and English.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in air freight forwarding in an international environment.
• In-depth knowledge of customs procedures and air transport regulations.
• Proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently, with strong attention to detail and the capacity to manage priorities in a dynamic setting.
• Comfortable using freight forwarding software and the MS Office Suite.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Knowledge of CargoWise software would be an advantage.

Overview

As Specialist Air Freight you will handle order processing and shipment registration, while organizing freight and customs handling activities, including export control. You will prepare and monitor offers, ensure accurate customer billing, and manage special orders as well as complaints. You will support and advise customers and agents, prepare delivery bills and customs documentation, and monitor deadlines to secure timely execution. In addition, you will maintain performance statistics, document and optimize workflows, support supervisors in various projects, and manage documentation, filing, and general administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Order processing and shipment registration
• Organization of freight and customs handling, as well as export control
• Preparation and monitoring of offers
• Ensuring and processing billing to customers
• Processing of special orders, as well as complaints
• Supporting and advising the customers and agents
• Preparation of delivery bills, customs documents, etc.
• Monitoring appointments
• Maintenance of statistics for performance measurement and as a basis for accounting
• Documentation and optimization of workflows
• Support of supervisors in projects
• Documentation and filing of files
• Performing general administrative tasks
