Job summary

AGS Logistics is seeking an Air Export Coordinator to manage end-to-end international air freight shipments, ensuring timely, compliant delivery and exceptional customer service. You will liaise with domestic customers, overseas agents, and internal teams, coordinating documentation, carrier/trucking arrangements, and shipment tracking.

The role requires attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and solid knowledge of air exports, domestic trucking, incoterms, and freight forwarding

Qualifications

• 1+ year of Air operations experience preferred.
• Effective interpersonal skills, including proven ability to listen, comprehend effectively, and communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
• Proactive and strong organization skills
• Good Microsoft Office and computer skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of domestic trucking including LTL, FTL and overweight cargo, incoterms

Responsibilities

• Plans and directs flow of air traffic moving to overseas destinations.
• Opens files for each shipment on the dedicated software system
• Negotiates with domestic customers as intermediary for foreign customers
• Examines invoices and shipping manifests for conformity to tariff and customs regulations
• Prepares reports of transactions to facilitate billing of shippers and foreign customers
• Examines documents such as invoices, bills of lading, and shipping statements to verify data in systems
• Is responsible for moving shipments on time
• Files documents accurately
• Handles air export operation rate negotiations, forwarding, consolidations, documentation, pre-alerts, tracing, and quotes
• Ensures dangerous goods shipments meet regulations
• Assists customers in compliance issues and packaging for dangerous goods
• Tracks and communicates shipment delays or documentation issues to clients and overseas agents
• Provides support to associates and managers as needed
