Job summary

Expeditors International is seeking an Air Export Assistant to support the Air Export Department, ensuring efficient freight flow and high-level customer service. The role involves document preparation, rate coordination, billing accuracy, and data entry within our ERP systems.

You will work under supervision to streamline processes, monitor shipment activity, and communicate with customers and vendors to meet regulatory and company standards. Experience with hazardous materials is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 years of industry-specific qualification (country-specific)
• Good market and product knowledge
• Effective interpersonal skills with clear, concise communication
• Pro-active, strong organizational skills
• Hazardous Materials certification (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Assist Manager and Supervisor with all aspects of the Air Export Department
• Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow
• Prepare documents for international transportation
• Coordinate and negotiate rates with contracted vendors
• Ensure accurate client and vendor billing
• Monitor data entry into operating system
• Interact with customers to arrange international export shipments
