Job summary

Expeditors is hiring an Air Export Agent in Salt Lake City to manage end-to-end international air export shipments with a focus on operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer service. This role connects customers with overseas Expeditors offices, airline partners, and carriers.

You will coordinate with gateways, brokers, and internal teams to ensure accurate documentation, invoicing, and timely shipment milestones while maintaining strong customer relationships and

Qualifications

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Air freight forwarding experience preferred.
• 1+ years of logistics, freight forwarding, transportation, or customer service experience preferred.
• IATA FIATA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow while meeting department KPI and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate and timely shipment records using Expeditors systems.
• Coordinate daily with overseas offices, gateways, airline carriers, trucking companies, customs brokers, and customers.
• Prepare, validate, and manage export documentation including MAWB, HAWB, invoices, packing lists, and export declarations.
• Maintain customer SOPs and ensure customer-specific requirements are executed consistently.
• Provide proactive communication regarding shipment status, delays, and recovery plans.
• Ensure accurate customer invoicing, vendor costing, and file profitability management.
• Adhere to TSA, IATA, FAA, EAR, DG and export compliance requirements.
