Job summary

People Freight is seeking an Air Export Coordinator in Atlanta, GA to manage shipments from booking to delivery. You will prepare export docs, coordinate airline bookings, and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery while maintaining open communication with customers and overseas partners.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in U.S. freight forwarding, knowledge of AES/EEI and export compliance, and familiarity with CargoWise.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of U.S. freight forwarding experience.
• Knowledge of international shipping and export documentation.
• Familiarity with airline bookings, AES/EEI, AWBs, and export compliance.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with CargoWise is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate air export shipments from booking through final delivery.
• Prepare and review export documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and air waybills.
• Arrange bookings with airlines and coordinate pickup and delivery requirements.
• Track shipments and communicate updates, delays, and exceptions.
• Ensure shipments comply with U.S. export regulations and international requirements.
• Work with customers, overseas offices, carriers, truckers, and agents.
• Enter and maintain accurate shipment data in the operating system.
• Monitor flight schedules, cut-off times, and cargo availability.
• Resolve shipment issues and provide timely solutions to customers.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and service levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate air export shipments from booking through final delivery
• Prepare and review export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and air waybills
• Arrange bookings with airlines and coordinate pickup and delivery requirements
• Track shipments and proactively communicate updates, delays, and exceptions
• Ensure shipments comply with U.S. export regulations and international requirements
• Work closely with customers, overseas offices, carriers, truckers, and agents
• Enter and maintain accurate shipment information within the company’s operating system
• Monitor flight schedules, cut-off times, and cargo availability
