Job summary

GEODIS in Illinois seeks an Account Representative - Air Export to act as the liaison between GEODIS and customers, handling documentation and information requests in the CargoWise system.

Role includes coordinating with global offices, ensuring TSA and government compliance, and managing export documentation for air shipments. Strong communication and multitasking skills are essential for success in this team-driven role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in exportation of goods or equivalent education/experience
• Experience in freight forwarding
• Knowledge of TSA and Government Agency requirements
• Knowledge of air and/or truck freight movements
• PC literate with MS Outlook, Word, Access, and Excel
• Ability to pass TSA STA background screening
• Ability to read/interpret safety rules and manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to follow written/oral instructions with common sense
• Good verbal and written communication and multitasking skills

Responsibilities

• Serves as the customer service liaison between GEODIS and the customer.
• Processes all documents and information requests from GEODIS.
• Enters notes, information requests, and document requests in CargoWise.
• Sends information/document requests to company employees, suppliers, service providers, or overseas offices as needed.
• Communicates with specified offices and teams on issues affecting Air Export.
• Files document requests, correspondence, and documents by shipping number.
• Ensures operational procedures align with company needs and TSA/government regulations.
