Job summary

Trane Technologies plc is seeking an Air-Cooled Testing Supervisor for the NA CHVAC Lab. You will lead a team responsible for testing New Product Development, sustainability, and quality improvements, ensuring accurate test data, safe operations, and timely project delivery.

You will drive standard work, mentor technicians, and collaborate across CHVAC Lab, Operations, and Project teams to meet customer milestones while managing resources and budgets.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in HVAC/R, Electromechanical Technology or Electronics (or equivalent technical degree) and at least 5-years of product development or testing experience is required; OR
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and at least 3-years of product development or testing experience is required.
• Experience with HVAC equipment, product design, laboratory equipment and testing practices, or operations environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily lab interactions to improve data accuracy and safety.
• Prioritize tasks to align with project timelines and goals.
• Manage and mentor a team of Technicians in CHVAC Lab.
• Develop and implement standard work to reduce waste and improve quality.
• Set performance objectives with other Lab Supervisors and visualize metrics.
• Support capital projects to enhance CHVAC lab capabilities.
• Oversee preventive maintenance and use Nuvolo PM system.
• Plan resources and manage timecards and expenses.
• Collaborate with CHVAC Operations and Sales Support teams.
