Job summary

Trane Technologies has an exciting on-site opportunity in our Engineering Test Laboratory as an HVAC Product Development Technician I. You will test new product development projects, support sustainability and quality improvements, and collaborate with lab and engineering teams to ensure timely completion of projects.

The role requires problem solving and teamwork with a focus on compliance with agency standards. This salaried non-exempt position includes overtime eligibility.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in HVAC or related field required or 1-year HVAC cert with 2+ years experience.
• 1-year HVAC cert with willingness to return to school to complete an Associate's within 2 years is acceptable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and control test facilities for commercial HVAC equipment.
• Collect experimental test data and support product development activities under guidance of senior staff.
• Assist with installation, modification and assembly of developmental HVAC equipment and components, following engineering and test requirements.
• Set up and use lab test equipment including data acquisition systems, power analyzers, flow equipment, and temperature/pressure sensors.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repair of Trane Commercial HVAC technologies and equipment.
