Addison Group is assisting a Franklin Park-based logistics client in finding an Air Import Coordinator for a 90-day contract. The role centers on managing international air freight imports from origin to delivery, ensuring timely transport, customs compliance, accurate documentation, and strong customer service.

You will work with airlines, overseas agents, customs brokers, trucking partners, and customers; monitor shipments; prepare documentation; and handle inquiries.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of air import experience.
• Experience managing shipments from booking through final delivery.
• Working knowledge of U.S. import regulations.
• Familiarity with import documentation and logistics processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate air import shipments from arrival USA through final delivery.
• Monitor shipment status and provide proactive updates to customers.
• Arrange customs clearance with brokers and ensure compliance with import regulations.
• Coordinate delivery with trucking companies and warehouses.
• Track cargo arrival and resolve delays or discrepancies.
• Enter shipment information into transportation management systems (IES).
• Verify and approve carrier, handling, and vendor invoices.
• Prepare customer billing and shipment cost breakdowns.
• Handle claims, damages, and service issues promptly.

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch

Job Summary:
