Job summary

Addison Group is seeking an Ocean Import Agent to oversee ocean import shipments, track and trace consignments, and liaise with clients and international partners. The role emphasizes accuracy, compliance, and timely communication throughout the end-to-end process.

You will use CargoWise to manage shipments, coordinate with airlines, warehouses, and carriers, and assist with billing and documentation while growth opportunities exist within the U.S. and globally.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in freight forwarding; ocean import logistics is highly preferred.
• Open to diverse educational backgrounds.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• CargoWise experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Track and trace ocean imports using CargoWise.
• Coordinate with clients, international colleagues, and vendors (airlines, warehouses, trucking companies).
• Manage billing processes and audit vendor invoices.
• Organize delivery of air imports and process necessary documentation.
• Approve freight invoices and credit notes per agreements.
• Ensure compliance with customs and trade regulations and understand client agreements.

Job Description:

Qualifications:

• Experience: 1-3 years in freight forwarding; experience in ocean import logistics is highly preferred
• Education: Open to various educational backgrounds
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, process-oriented, able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Software: 1+ years of experience with CargoWise is highly preferred
