Job summary

Crouse Health in Syracuse, NY is hiring an Aide/Attendant in Environmental Services to manage day-to-day cleaning and housekeeping across multiple locations. This full-time role runs 11:00am-7:30pm with rotating weekends and holidays.

The position requires attention to detail, basic computer skills, and the ability to clean and maintain patient and support areas, including isolation rooms. Wages and benefits are provided as part of the Environmental Services team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred, not required.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Properly cleans isolation rooms and patient areas per policy.
• Removes trash and transports to storage location promptly.
• Replenishes soap, towels, and tissues in bathrooms.
• Cleans and maintains floors and carpets; may move furniture as needed.
• Performs housekeeping duties including beds, walls, and furniture polishing.

Crouse’s Environmental Services team is hiring an Aide/Attendant to manage the day-to-day cleaning and housekeeping activities of the majority of Crouse locations.

Available Schedule(s): Full-Time:

11:00am-7:30pm with rotating weekends & holidays

Pay Range

$20.15 - $26.12

Aide/Attendant Responsibilities

• Properly cleans isolation rooms, MRSA rooms, radiation rooms, treatment rooms, morgue, patient areas and core areas in accordance with existing policy and procedure.
• Diligently removes trash from all areas and transports to storage location in a timely and organized manner.
• Properly clean and replenish supply of soap, paper towels and tissue in bathrooms in the areas assigned by department leadership.
• Professionally conduct housekeeping duties including but not limited to, making beds, washing walls, dusting and polishing furniture.
• Properly cleans and maintains floors and carpets using a variety of tools and equipment. This may require furniture to be moved.

Aide/Attendant Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, not required.
• Previous experience waxing and applying topcoat to a variety of floor surfaces preferred.
• Must have basic computer skills.
