Job summary

Crouse Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join the Med/Surg Oncology unit in Syracuse. The successful candidate will perform daily patient care activities under the direction of the Registered Nurse and contribute to the patient care plan.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of patient care experience, and BLS certification either at hire or within two weeks of starting. Competitive shift differentials apply for evenings, nights, and weekends.

TheNursing Assistantperforms daily care activities to help achieve the goals of the patient care plan as directed by the Registered Professional Nurse.

Pay Range:$20.15-26.92/hour (based on experience).

• Assists the patient with daily care activities including but not limited to bathing, dressing, feeding, ambulating, personal hygiene andtaking of vital signs.
• Supports and actively contributes to the achievement of the patient's goals associated with the plan of care.
• Individualizes communication based on the needs of the patients and families.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One yearof patient care experience, an equivalent combination of patient care experience with a healthcare training/skills class, or is currently attending an accredited Registered Nursing program and has successfully completed the fundamentals of nursing coursework.
• Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at the time of hire or within two (2) weeks after hire date.
