Job summary

Story Inc is seeking an AI/VFX Generalist to create, integrate, and refine visual effects across diverse projects, using AI where it improves results.

You will collaborate with directors, editors, and motion designers, bringing both technical skill and creative judgment to the finished frame. A strong portfolio and proficiency in After Effects, Nuke or Blender, plus Runway, Sora or ComfyUI are required.

Qualifications

• Portfolio showcasing VFX and compositing across multiple styles.
• Proficiency in After Effects, Nuke, and/or Blender.
• Hands-on experience with generative AI tools such as Runway, Sora, or ComfyUI.
• Ability to complete a trial project.
• Based in the SF Bay Area or willing to relocate.
• Degrees not required; your work speaks for itself.

Responsibilities

• Composite and integrate VFX elements across different project types and visual styles.
• Use AI tools to support cleanup, generation, and image enhancement.
• Create assets with generative video and image tools when the project calls for them.
• Collaborate with directors, editors, and motion designers throughout post-production.
• Evaluate emerging tools and recommend approaches that improve the work.
• Keep files organized and manage your workflow through final delivery.
