Job summary

Thomson Reuters seeks a hands-on AI engineering leader to architect and ship production AI workflows powering marketing. You will lead a team of AI engineers, set technical standards, and deliver end-to-end capabilities across brief, content, and channel.

You will collaborate with engineering and data science teams to define interfaces and ensure timely, quality delivery. Ideal candidates bring a track record building platforms from scratch, strong data/BI foundations, and experience scaling

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience architecting and shipping production AI applications: agentic workflows, skill and context engineering, orchestration, retrieval, and tool and API integration.
• A strong technical foundation in data engineering, analytics engineering, business intelligence, or software engineering with scale, quality, and governance.
• A track record of building a capability or platform from scratch and scaling to real usage.
• Experience leading engineers as a hands-on builder-leader, setting technical direction and raising the bar.
• Proven ability to deliver through influence across teams you do not own and manage dependencies.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience; experience in marketing, growth, or GTM contexts.

Responsibilities

• Own AI skills development: architect, build, version, and maintain the skills and agents that power marketing workflows, and set the standards others build to.
• Lead and grow a team of AI engineers, while staying hands-on to build and set the technical bar.
• Convert prioritized AI use-case portfolio into shipped, measurable capability against timelines and quality standards.
• Manage cross-functional dependencies with engineering and data science teams, defining interfaces and accountability.
• Deliver end-to-end workflows from brief to finished, channel-ready output.
• Build the compliance foundation with legal, privacy, accessibility, and content integrity checks.
• Establish engineering governance with ownership per skill, versioning, quality monitoring, and cost guardrails.
• Engineer for portability and avoid platform lock-in to prevent stranded investments.
• Instrument outcomes like pipeline contribution, time-to-insight, and adoption to elevate accountability and efficiency.
