Job summary

GEICO seeks a Technology, AI and Innovation Attorney – Assistant General Counsel/Director to join the Law, Policy and Compliance team. You will advise on technology, AI models, platforms and products, partnering with product, compliance and engineering teams to manage risk and ensure regulatory alignment.

The role requires deep knowledge of U.S. tech and AI laws, data protection and governance frameworks, with a strong emphasis on responsible AI and vendor oversight.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 10+ years of experience focusing on technology and AI matters, in-house or at a law firm.

Responsibilities

• Advise on legal and regulatory considerations across the technology product and AI lifecycle.
• Partner with Law, Policy and Compliance to support development and monitoring of AI initiatives and processes.
• Identify and mitigate legal and regulatory risks related to AI, privacy, data and consumer protection.
• Draft and review technology-related policies, procedures and vendor agreements.
• Monitor AI governance frameworks and evolving regulatory requirements; advise on impact and advocacy.
