Job summary

GEICO is hiring for a senior AI governance role reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer. The position drives the strategic design, implementation, and oversight of GEICO's enterprise AI governance framework, balancing risk management with business strategy across divisions.

The candidate will lead a team, embed responsible AI practices, monitor AI-related risks, and support audits and regulatory inquiries while promoting transparency and ethics across the company.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or governance in AI/tech/data governance
• Experience in Generative AI risk assessments and model risk
• Ability to work across multiple business units and with legal/compliance teams

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a team of AI governance professionals and document models, policies, and processes
• Partner with business leaders, technology, and legal/compliance to embed responsible AI practices
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to deliver AI initiatives with risk controls
• Maintain a comprehensive model and AI inventory across lifecycle
• Assess AI-related risks and provide risk mitigation guidance
• Advise on AI system reviews and risk assessments for compliance and ethics
• Support committees promoting transparency and accountability for AI initiatives
• Deliver training to promote responsible AI use and governance awareness
• Perform controls monitoring and testing for model performance
• Support audits and regulatory inquiries as needed
