Job summary

Handshake is seeking a driven Talent Sourcing Specialist to join Handshake AI and own top-of-funnel recruiting for the Growth team. Based in San Francisco, you will identify and engage high-potential talent across STEM domains, owning your pipeline in a fast-paced environment.

You will source passive candidates, provide market insights, conduct initial screens, and handoffs to project teams, while tracking recruiting metrics to refine strategies and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience: ~2–4 years in recruiting or sourcing, in-house or agency.
• Ability to find and engage niche talent pools, including STEM/tech.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to engage candidates and hiring managers.
• Data-driven approach; track metrics and use insights to improve sourcing.
• Comfort working PST hours and adaptability to processes and ambiguity.
• Familiarity with ATS platforms and sourcing tools, quick to learn new tech.

Responsibilities

• Own top-of-funnel sourcing for the Growth team and define pipeline priorities.
• Source and engage passive talent through creative outreach and market mapping.
• Provide market insights and guidance on sourcing strategies and trends.
• Conduct initial candidate screens and handoffs to project teams.
• Track and report recruiting metrics with data integrity in Ashby and other tools.
