Job summary

Handshake is seeking a driven Talent Sourcing Specialist based in San Francisco to own top-of-funnel recruitment for the Handshake AI Growth team. You will identify and engage top talent across STEM and technical domains, managing your pipeline in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of recruiting or sourcing experience; diverse backgrounds welcome
• Ability to find and engage niche talent pools
• Experience sourcing candidates from STEM/technical fields
• Thrive in fast-moving, high-goal environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication with hiring managers
• Data-driven approach; track source, conversion, and metrics
• Proficiency with ATS platforms (Ashby a plus) and LinkedIn Recruiter
• Willingness to work PST hours
• Comfort with ambiguity and shaping processes, not just executing

Responsibilities

• Own top-of-funnel sourcing for the Growth team and define role requirements and pipeline priorities
• Source and engage passive talent via outreach, boolean search, research, and market mapping with a focus on technical candidates
• Provide market insights and strategic guidance to optimize sourcing strategies
• Conduct initial screens and hand off to project teams
• Track recruiting metrics and ensure data integrity in Ashby and other tools
