Job summary

Cagayan State University is offering an internship focused on AI model hosting, inference optimization, and orchestration. You will work on profiling, benchmarking, and deploying models to constrained devices while exploring quantization and distillation techniques.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI components into the platform, contribute to open-source projects, and gain mentorship from senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong ability to communicate technical goals, outcomes, and decisions clearly.
• Familiarity with model inference/optimization, orchestration frameworks (LangGraph, LangChain), or model fine-tuning.
• Collaborative mindset with cross-functional teams; ownership of outcomes.
• Problem-solving skills for debugging and evaluating tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Work on model hosting and inference optimization including profiling, benchmarking, and accelerating model execution on resource-constrained devices.
• Contribute to orchestration frameworks and agent workflows coordinating multiple models and agents.
• Participate in model customization and fine-tuning for specific use cases; run experiments and iterate on configurations.
• Collaborate with system software, design, and product teams to integrate work into the platform; communicate progress and decisions clearly.
• Contribute to open-source projects or internal libraries related to inference, orchestration, or model training; take ownership of outcomes.
