Job summary

OpenAI is seeking an experienced User Operations professional to support customers deploying AI at scale. You’ll troubleshoot high-impact issues, guide customers through complex technical challenges, and collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Operations to improve systems and automation.

Based in Tokyo, this role requires fluent Japanese and English, a 5x8 work week with weekend rotation, and relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in User Operations or related technical roles.
• Strong SaaS troubleshooting skills with fast learning curve.
• Fluent in English and Japanese preferred for global support.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across customers.
• Be a trusted expert on OpenAI products and platform.
• Escalation point and collaboration with engineering teams.
• Scale solutions with product and GTM teams.
• Identify automation opportunities and improve workflows.
• Occasional holiday and weekend on-call support.
