Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a SR. Network Engineer to architect, deploy, and optimize highly available networks powering our data centers and vehicle fleet.

You will lead automation, AI-driven monitoring, and rapid provisioning of network devices and servers in a fast-paced, high-security environment. You will design new architectures, develop AI-native operations, and push the boundaries of performance while collaborating with cross-functional teams across SpaceX.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing, operating & automating critical networks.
• 5+ years automating network configurations & monitoring.
• 5+ years kernel systems, Linux networking, high-speed optical modules, RDMA.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, & deploy highly redundant data centers for mission critical operations
• Lead end to end automation of the network lifecycle: provisioning, configuration management, validation, monitoring
• Create and maintain AI-driven network operations: Design AI and machine learning tools to monitor network health, detect anomalies and pro-actively detect anomalous hardware behavior
• Automate rapid provisioning & upgrades of network devices & servers
• Troubleshoot and resolve networking hardware & software problems
• Optimize performance across hardware, topologies, protocols and software
