Artificial Intelligence Underwriting Company is seeking a Standards Lead for AI agents to guide the AIUC-1 framework. You’ll read incident reports, form strong opinions within 24 hours, and determine implications for controls.

You’ll translate new regulations into actionable language and work with a broad consortium of leaders to drive adoption. This role emphasizes research-driven policy, writing at pace, and collaboration across security, compliance, and governance domains.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of experience in AI research or global risk & compliance.
• Excellent writing: translate incidents and research into publishable content under time pressure.
• Comfort with security/compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO, NIST) and audit methodologies.
• Genuine curiosity about standards and AI failure modes; ability to shape AIUC-1 guidance.
• Ability to operate with speed and ambiguity; proactive and autonomous.
• Judgment enterprises and auditors will trust; able to engage with CISOs and General Counsels for input.
• Operational excellence managing a large consortium and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Own the AIUC-1 standard update process: research, incident monitoring, and drafting quarterly updates.
• Drive news and analyst commentary within 24 hours of major AI incidents.
• Lead technical content development for blog and channels with credible writing for security leaders and customers.
• Track regulatory and threat landscape and translate into concrete, testable controls.
• Build partnerships with CSA, OWASP, and CRI to strengthen the ecosystem and drive adoption.
