Job summary

FreshTech in New York City is seeking a Forward Deployed AI Engineer to translate high-impact AI opportunities into production-ready solutions. You will partner with business teams to identify workflows, design end-to-end AI applications, and deploy them across the organization.

You'll work directly with operations, finance, legal and executive teams, balancing speed with governance. This is an on-site role with visibility across the business and opportunities to shape AI strategy.

Qualifications

Proven experience building and shipping software or AI products.
Strong Python engineering skills.
Knowledge of TypeScript and frontend development.
Experience with modern AI/LLM tooling and agents.
Ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
Experience with AI agents, tool orchestration or production-grade security advantageous.

Responsibilities

Partner with business teams to identify and prioritise AI opportunities.
Design and build end-to-end AI workflows and applications.
Translate ambiguous business processes into reliable, scalable systems.
Work with modern LLMs, agents, automation, and AI tooling.
Develop intuitive solutions that people genuinely want to use.
Balance speed and experimentation with security, reliability, and governance.
Collaborate with the wider AI and engineering teams to improve reusable capabilities.
Document solutions and enable teams to operate and extend them independently.
