Cloudera, Inc. is seeking a Solutions Engineer to provide top‑tier technical and business consultation to sales teams, prospects and customers. You will design customer‑centric solutions, present architectures and roadmaps, and mentor teammates. Strong AI, data science, and big data experience are essential.

You’ll collaborate with teams to define selling approaches, troubleshoot complex workloads, and contribute to knowledge bases while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Hands‑on experience with AI model lifecycle (development to production, monitoring, retraining).
• Experience with AI ecosystems (Agentic AI, Generative AI, Cursor, CoPilot, Claude).
• AI use‑case development and data science interest.
• Understand Data Engineering vs Applied Science.
• Pre‑Sales Solutions Architecture as practice (listen, whiteboard, propose, hands‑on).
• 3‑5+ years in a similar role; enterprise software and big data experience.
• Strong Linux, Java/.NET, and SQL familiarity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Provide high‑value business and technical consultation to sales teams, prospects and customers.
• Define technical selling approaches for accounts and participate in win strategies.
• Create and deliver customer‑centric solution designs and architectures.
• Present roadmaps, visions and architectures to technical teams; mentor associates.
• Contribute to knowledge repositories and enablement materials.
