Job summary

Allegion seeks an AI Solutions Engineer to design, build, and evaluate managed AI agents that automate and augment work across the business. You will partner with data scientists and stakeholders to translate needs into concrete agent requirements and reusable patterns that speed delivery while ensuring safety and human oversight where needed.

You will work within Allegion’s hybrid model, collaborating across teams and leveraging your AI, data science, and software experience to create impactful

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical field.
• 3+ years delivering AI, software, or data solutions including LLM-based apps or agents.
• Experience designing and building AI agents with tool use and data integration.
• Strong Python and cloud platform experience (Azure preferred).
• Proven ability to define evaluations for AI systems and monitor quality over time.

Responsibilities

• Embed with Allegion teams to learn processes and identify where an agent adds value.
• Translate processes into clear agent requirements, scope, and success criteria.
• Design and build agents that are safe, reliable, and produce consistent outputs.
• Define good outcomes and build evaluations for accuracy and regression over time.
• Decide when human oversight is warranted and design checkpoints accordingly.
• Build reusable patterns, templates, and best practices for agent development.
• Pilot agents with business users and lead acceptance testing prior to rollout.
• Collaborate with data scientists, business partners, and AI teams to prioritize use cases.
• Apply responsible-AI practices and stay current with advances in agentic AI and evaluation methods.
