Job summary

Allegion is seeking an AI Solutions Engineer to design, build, and evaluate managed AI agents that automate and augment processes across the business. You’ll embed with teams to learn workflows, translate needs into agent requirements, and deliver safe, reproducible agents with clear human oversight where needed.

The role requires 3+ years delivering AI or data solutions, strong Python, and cloud platform experience (Azure preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical field.
• 3+ years total experience delivering AI, software, or data solutions.
• Experience designing and building AI agents and integration with external systems.
• Strong proficiency with generative AI and large language models (LLMs).
• Experience defining evaluations for AI systems to measure quality and regression over time.
• Sound judgment on human-in-the-loop design and review checkpoints.
• Requirements-discovery and facilitation skills with business teams.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Embed with teams to learn processes and identify agent value.
• Translate processes into clear agent requirements and success criteria.
• Design and build safe, reliable AI agents with measurable outputs.
• Define success metrics and evaluation methods for each use case.
• Determine where human oversight is necessary and design checkpoints.
• Create reusable patterns, templates, and best practices for agent development.
• Pilot agents with business users and lead testing before rollout.
• Collaborate with data scientists, business partners, and AI teams to prioritize use cases.
