Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a hands-on engineer to build AI agents for security operations. You will design, test, and ship agentic systems, integrating AI/ML with cybersecurity tooling and expanding our security automation capabilities.

You will work with senior researchers to translate research into production-ready solutions, contribute to security policy guidance, and help shape best practices for safe AI use in security operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in computer science, cybersecurity, or related field with relevant experience.
• Hands-on cybersecurity, software engineering, or related experience.
• Strong Python skills; able to build, debug, and ship production systems.
• Experience in at least one security operations area: threat intel, detection, incident response, cloud security, or app security.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy AI agents that automate security workflows like threat detection and incident response.
• Integrate LLMs and AI/ML with security tooling (SIEM, EDR, SOAR, cloud platforms).
• Develop and maintain agent orchestration pipelines (prompting, tooling, evaluation).
• Write Python (primarily) to build and test agent systems.
• Instrument agents with logging, monitoring, and KPIs for security operations.
