This position serves as a key technical leader for AI innovation within the U.S. Health & Medical business while ensuring solutions are designed with scalability, governance, and enterprise alignment in mind, enabling successful adoption across regions and business units where appropriate. Aligned with the job family’s mission, this role enables effective business processes by providing trusted, high-quality information for decision-making and by promoting responsible, compliant, and value-driven use of data and AI. The ideal candidate must be located in the Charlotte, NC area.

Creation of reusable capabilities that can be scaled across regions, business units, and markets. Alignment of local innovation initiatives with enterprise AI strategy and governance. Contribution to the advancement of AI capabilities and adoption within the Health & Medical organization. Reliability, traceability, and fit-for-purpose validation of AI, automation, and analytics outputs before business use. Effective decision enablement through clear, contextualized, and actionable insights, with appropriate human review and documented limitations.

What You Will Do
Drive AI Innovation and Business Transformation

Identify high-value opportunities to leverage artificial intelligence, automation, and advanced analytics to improve business outcomes and operational efficiency. Evaluate business processes and workflows to uncover opportunities for transformation, automation, and optimization. Translate complex business challenges into scalable technical solutions that deliver measurable value. Stay current on emerging technologies, AI capabilities, and industry trends to identify innovative applications within the business. Develop and lead training, enablement, and knowledge-sharing programs that build AI capabilities across the organization and empower teams to effectively adopt, support, and scale AI solutions.

Design and Deliver Scalable Solutions

Design, develop, and implement AI-powered solutions, intelligent automation, and advanced analytics applications. Be accountable for ensuring AI, automation, and analytics outputs are fit for purpose before business use by defining and implementing appropriate validation, testing, monitoring, traceability, and human-review controls that address accuracy, reliability, reproducibility, and documented limitations. Build proof-of-concepts, prototypes, and production-ready solutions using modern AI, cloud, and automation technologies. Develop scalable architectures that balance speed, flexibility, security, maintainability, and enterprise standards. Integrate AI capabilities into existing business processes, applications, and reporting platforms. Ensure solutions are designed for reuse and scalability across markets, regions, and business functions whenever possible. Structure outputs and insights with clear business context, assumptions, confidence or limitations, and recommended actions so stakeholders can make informed decisions without over-relying on automated results.

Provide Technical Leadership

Collaborate with the global AI Center of Excellence, data governance teams, data owners, and stewards to co-develop and operationalize practical data and AI governance guidance, controls, and reusable standards. Ensure that data ownership and stewardship responsibilities are defined for each solution, with clear requirements for data quality, metadata, business definitions, lineage, access, retention, and issue resolution.

Ensure Long-Term Success and Governance

Apply and enforce applicable company policies, security and privacy requirements, data governance standards, and responsible AI principles throughout the solution lifecycle, escalating exceptions and unresolved risks to the appropriate governance bodies. Conduct and document proportionate AI risk assessments covering fairness and bias, transparency and explainability, human oversight, privacy, security, regulatory and legal requirements, and potential business or user harm. Implement risk-mitigation measures such as approved-tool and data-use controls, traceability, access controls, human-in-the-loop review, performance and drift monitoring, incident escalation, and periodic reassessment.
