Job summary

Exa is hiring a Solutions Architect to be the technical tip of our presales motion in San Francisco. You will partner with Account Executives, run discovery, build demos, and design POCs to prove Exa’s value for complex AI use cases.

This in-person role requires deep technical chops, strong communication, and the ability to move opportunities quickly from discovery to production readiness. Exa offers sponsor support for international candidates and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Several years of hands-on programming experience.
• 2+ years in presales or technical sales.
• Strong communication across CTOs, engineers, and PMs.
• Track record of high performance in demanding environments.
• High tolerance for context-switching and ambiguity.
• Willingness to travel for customer meetings and workshops.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical side with Account Executives from first call to win.
• Run discovery to map use case, data needs, and success criteria.
• Build and deliver tailored demos, sample apps, and prototypes.
• Design and run workshops and POCs with clear criteria.
• Win technical evaluations by benchmarking against alternatives.
• Handle security, compliance, and architecture questions.
• Bring in Forward Deployed Engineers for deeper expertise.
• Feed market signal back to Product about requests and gaps.
• Create reusable presales assets like demo environments.
