Job summary

Notion is seeking a Forward Deployed Architect to turn AI ambitions into operational reality for customers. You’ll design scalable Notion architectures, implement AI-native workflows, and partner with customers to drive adoption and measurable business outcomes.

You will work across discovery, solution design, workspace architecture, workflow build, AI implementation, and launch planning, ensuring successful customer value delivery and long-term engagement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in tech services/consulting, solutions architecture, implementation, customer engineering, or similar.
• Proven ability to translate ambiguous customer goals into clear workflows and measurable success criteria.
• Strong discovery skills: map current workflows, identify pain, and define future-state solutions.
• Hands-on AI builder mindset for designing, prototyping, automating real business workflows.
• Technical fluency with APIs, integrations, data models, automation, and enterprise systems.
• Experience delivering implementations that drive adoption and long-term value.
• Strong project/engagement management with clear ownership and launch readiness.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to simplify complex concepts for varied audiences.
• Executive presence and customer judgment to align stakeholders toward a path to value.
• Bias toward action and comfort with rapid AI-native product environments.
• Japanese language proficiency for communicating with external customers and teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with customers on forward deployed engagements from discovery through launch.
• Translate business goals into scalable Notion architectures and workflows.
• Design and deploy AI-native workflows using Notion AI, custom agents, and automation.
• Create adoption plans and launch approaches to drive sustained usage and value.
• Develop reusable delivery assets and reference architectures based on field learnings.
• Act as a trusted advisor, balancing trade-offs and aligning stakeholders on implementation paths.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to scale successful patterns beyond individual engagements.
