Job summary

IBM Consulting is seeking an AI Forward Deployed Engineer to translate client objectives into practical AI-powered solutions across cloud and data landscapes. You will design end-to-end systems, integrate AI models with customer data and APIs, and deploy them into production while collaborating with product, research, and engineering teams.

You will work with senior stakeholders, apply best practices in secure development, and help guide multi-practice engagements across AWS, GCP, and Azure.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of hands-on data engineering, ML, or AI roles.
• Hands-on AI/ML experience including generative AI and large language models.
• Experience with agent-based AI workflows and customer-facing deployments.
• Strong Python coding skills and production-grade cloud systems experience.
• Familiarity with secure development practices and enterprise AI considerations.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI solutions by designing and implementing models and end-to-end systems.
• Evaluate model performance using relevant metrics and optimize accordingly.
• Support sales and delivery with cloud, data, and AI expertise across multiple platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Articulate integrated advisory, engineering, and operational solutions across cloud and data domains.
• Communicate AI results and provide actionable insights to clients.
