Job summary

Brooksource in Kansas City, MO seeks a hands-on Data/AI Solutions Analyst for a 12-month contract-to-hire on-site. You will work at the intersection of analytics, AI tooling, and practical engineering support, digging into SQL, prompting AI agents to automate workflows, and partnering with internal customers.

Collaborate with software developers to productionize prototypes, apply Python scripting for automation, and navigate cloud environments (Azure, GCP, AWS).

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a data analyst, automation, or similar hands-on technical role.
• Strong SQL and basic data modeling concepts.
• Proficiency in Python for automation and analysis tasks.
• Experience with AI coding/agent tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex) and prompt engineering.
• Experience building or configuring AI agents to automate tasks or workflows.
• Familiarity with GitHub and VS Code in a collaborative environment.
• Exposure to at least one cloud platform (Azure, GCP, or AWS).
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills with internal stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate with software developers to mature prototype-stage apps.
• Must be local to Kansas City, MO and on-site.

Responsibilities

• Partner with internal business customers to understand data, automation, and reporting needs and translate them into solutions.
• Use AI tools to prompt, build automations, and deploy AI agents solving business problems.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data analysis and reporting.
• Apply basic Python scripting to support automation tasks.
• Collaborate with developers to productionize prototypes.
• Work within GitHub and VS Code as part of the Dev workflow.
• Operate across Azure, GCP, and AWS as engagements require.
• Act as a go-to resource for AI tooling-enabled data challenges.
• Communicate with stakeholders and provide customer-facing support.
• Work on-site in Kansas City, MO for 12-month contract-to-hire.
