Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a mid-level AI Developer to design, build, and deploy AI-powered applications across government and private clients. You will work with Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, and modern AI frameworks to connect data sources, design RAG pipelines, and implement end-to-end AI solutions.

Strong coding tool proficiency (Claude, OpenAI, Copilot) and cross-functional collaboration are essential. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in software development with 1–2 years in AI/ML, a CS/AI/data

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of software development with 1–2 years in AI/ML app development
• Bachelor's degree in CS, software engineering, AI, data science, or similar
• Experience building apps with AI/LLM APIs (Claude OpenAI, LangChain) and MCP
• Strong Python and JavaScript/TypeScript; SQL knowledge
• Proven ability to use AI-assisted coding tools (Claude, Codex, Cursor, Copilot) to accelerate development
• Ability to travel as necessary to meet project/client requirements

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy AI-powered apps and tools using Python, TypeScript/JavaScript and modern AI frameworks
• Build MCP servers and integrations to connect AI models with enterprise data sources and APIs
• Develop RAG pipelines, agentic workflows and AI automation for internal and client projects
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and maintain code quality
• Collaborate with SMEs, data engineers and PMs to translate requirements into production AI solutions
• Architect full-stack solutions including React front-ends, back-end APIs and cloud AI services
• Evaluate, integrate and maintain AI platforms, APIs and toolchains as tech evolves
• Create technical presentations, demos and documentation for teams and clients
• Participate in knowledge sharing, code reviews and mentoring across teams
• Stay current with evolving AI tools, models and best practices
