Job summary

3E is seeking a Manager, Security and Trust Engineering to build and lead a company-wide trust engineering capability. Reporting to the CISO, this role drives security, AI governance, identity controls, and automation across engineering, AI, and platform teams.

The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in security, infrastructure, platform, and AI-enabled engineering, with the ability to influence peers and scale trust practices across 3E. Remote-friendly, EST/CST preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a security/engineering team in a technology function.
• At least 6 years in security, infrastructure, platform, AI, cloud engineering, or a related role.
• Strong understanding of vulnerability management, identity/security tooling, security operations, and how security work moves through technical teams.
• Hands-on familiarity with Okta, Microsoft Entra, Defender, SIEM/SOC tooling, ReliaQuest GreyMatter, Secureframe, or similar systems.
• Experience delivering system-level outcomes, not just isolated tasks; able to drive outcomes with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the InfoSec team to operationalize AI governance, security assurance, identity controls, and vulnerability remediation.
• Drive security and trust work through cross-functional teams by aligning priorities and creating clarity.
• Turn manual security work into durable systems, automation, metrics, and reusable operating models.
• Embed security and trust controls into engineering platforms, CI/CD, delivery workflows, and identity systems.
• Build AI-enabled workflows, agents, or systems that reduce manual work and improve security operations.
• Support continuous assurance for SOC 2 and ISO 42001 with emphasis on automation and evidence collection.
• Communicate risk in business terms to tech and exec stakeholders.
• Establish operating cadence, ownership models, metrics, and leading indicators for trust outcomes.
