Job summary

Alignerr is seeking an Incident Response Analyst for AI training to help shape how AI systems understand and respond to cybersecurity threats. This remote hourly contractor role offers flexible scheduling and 10–40 hours per week, allowing you to contribute hands-on SOC experience to real-world AI defense work.

You will evaluate AI-generated responses against realistic incidents, critique detection rules, and provide structured feedback to improve accuracy and reliability while working

Qualifications

• 2+ years in SOC analysis, incident response, or security operations.
• Hands-on with SIEM platforms, alert queues, and investigation tooling.
• Ability to document findings clearly and concisely.

Responsibilities

• Analyze realistic security events, alerts, and incident cases to evaluate AI-generated responses
• Assess impact, root cause, and remediation steps for simulated and real-world scenarios
• Review and critique detection rules, alerting pipelines, and investigative playbooks
• Verify that AI-generated incident analysis accurately reflects how real security operations teams work
• Provide structured, expert feedback that directly improves AI model accuracy and reliability
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule
