Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Security Operations Analyst (AI Training) to join our remote, hourly contract team. You will apply real-world SOC expertise to help teach AI how to detect, investigate, and respond to threats, shaping enterprise security AI decisions.

You’ll work asynchronously on task-based assignments, reviewing alerts, refining detection logic, and providing structured feedback to ensure AI outputs reflect experienced analyst reasoning. 10–40 hours weekly, remote.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a SOC, incident response, or security operations.
• Hands-on with SIEM platforms, alert triage, and investigations.
• Ability to distinguish true threats from noise.
• Strong written communication to explain reasoning.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently on a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Analyze SOC incidents, alerts, and investigations to determine significance.
• Classify threat severity and recommend responses.
• Review detection logic and investigation workflows for accuracy.
• Evaluate AI-generated security outputs and provide feedback.
• Ensure AI reasoning aligns with experienced analyst triage processes.
• Work independently and asynchronously on task-based assignments.
