Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Senior Director AI Security to establish and mature the enterprise AI Security program under the CIO. You will lead governance, risk management, secure adoption, and regulatory compliance for AI technologies including LLMs, generative AI, and ML platforms.

The role directs a team of AI security architects and engineers, partnering with Legal, Privacy, Procurement, and business leaders to enable secure AI across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in CS/InfoSec/Engineering/Data Science or related field.
• Advanced degrees preferred for leadership roles.
• 10+ years in progressive cybersecurity leadership.
• 3+ years designing, implementing, and securing AI/ML systems.
• 2+ years working with cloud security configurations (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• 2+ years application security with emphasis on AI/ML.
• 5+ years leading security architecture or engineering teams.
• Knowledge of NIST RMF/CSF, ISO standards, and AI risk frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute enterprise AI Security strategy, governance, and multi-year roadmap.
• Set enterprise AI security standards, policies, and secure development requirements.
• Lead AI security risk management including model governance and third-party assessments.
• Build and lead AI Security organization including hiring, budgeting, and planning.
• Partner with tech, legal, privacy, procurement to enable secure AI adoption.
• Oversee AI security architecture reviews and security assessments.
• Monitor AI threats and regulatory developments and adjust strategy.
