Job summary

STATE STREET CORPORATION seeks a Vice President for AI Security and Data Protection Governance and Controls to establish enterprise governance, policies, and risk-based controls. You will oversee AI model inventories, data assets, and security standards across platforms and vendors.

You will partner with Security, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Procurement to embed security-by-design and drive measurable remediation programs. Strong leadership and executive communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in info security, CS, engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in cybersecurity, AI security or data protection governance.
• Industry certifications such as CISSP/CISM/CRISC/CCSP are preferred.
• Experience communicating with executive, audit, regulatory teams.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain enterprise governance framework for AI security and data protection.
• Govern discovery, inventory, classification, and risk assessment of AI models and data assets.
• Define risk-based prioritization criteria across data sensitivity and exposure.
• Design minimum control requirements, testing procedures and remediation expectations.
• Oversee roadmap for transitioning to secure technologies and controls.
• Partner with Security Architecture to embed security-by-design and adaptable controls.
• Define due-diligence criteria for third-party products and cloud services.
• Act as subject-matter authority for governance in executive engagements.
• Create dashboards and KRIs for risk exposure, compliance, and remediation progress.
• Lead and develop a cross-functional governance team.
