Perplexity seeks a highly organized IP Paralegal to be the backbone of a fast-growing in-house IP program. You will manage patent and trademark workflows, docketing, and portfolio hygiene, while coordinating with outside counsel and engineering to keep matters on track.

You will apply agentic AI tools to accelerate prosecution and diligence tasks, oversee open source compliance, and drive repeatable processes across multiple IP disciplines in a lean team setting.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IP paralegal experience in-house and law firms.
• Fluency with AI tools and agentic AI applications in IP operations.
• Hands-on support for patent and trademark prosecution workflows.
• Experience managing outside counsel, budgets, and billing.
• Strong organizational skills with deadline discipline.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Discretion handling confidential material.
• Interest in IP diligence and IP-adjacent needs.

Responsabilités

• Manage patent and trademark workflows including docketing and filing coordination.
• Oversee portfolio maintenance and status reporting to stakeholders.
• Administer copyright matters and record keeping.
• Coordinate intake and triage for invention disclosures and clearance requests.
• Manage outside counsel relationships, budgets, and billing.
• Run patent rewards program end-to-end.
• Support IP diligence and IP-adjacent needs, including commercial and litigation support.
• Build and improve internal file management systems and dashboards.
