Job summary

Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning (CATL) is seeking an Instructional Designer to support educators from orientation through communities of practice. You will collaborate with designers and technologists to promote evidence-based teaching and equity-driven learning.

The role focuses on faculty development programming and instructional modalities, including AI integration. You will work as part of a team to implement interventions, collect data, and enhance faculty effectiveness

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• At least one year of experience in higher education
• Strong understanding of instructional design, pedagogy and/or andragogy
• Experience with AI in education and its integration into teaching and learning

Responsibilities

• Advise and support groups on program-level curricular design and development with expertise in pedagogy, instructional design, and learning technology
• Collect, organize, interpret, and disseminate data related to instructional program needs and faculty development programs
• Design, develop, and deliver faculty development programs and activities (e.g., Canvas-based courses, communities of practice, grant programs)
• Work with a team to promote evidence-based pedagogies across instructional modalities
• Infuse equity, inclusion, and universal design into faculty development opportunities
• Contribute to program evaluation or SoTL research as time allows
